Effect of Temperature on the Electrical and Thermal Behaviour of a Photovoltaic/Thermal System Cooled Using SiC Nanofluid: An Experimental and Comparison Study

A photovoltaic/thermal system (PV/T) was investigated experimentally using silicon carbide nanofluid as a cooling fluid. PV/T tested in Oman with 0.5 wt.% of nanoparticles terms thermophysical properties, performance parameters, and efficiencies. At 25 °C, it found that there is an increase the fluid’s thermal conductivity, density, viscosity up to 6.64%, 13%, 12%, respectively. When examining effect increasing density (by adding base fluid) on pumping power, turbulent flow reduces required force vice versa for case laminar flow. The electrical efficiency enhanced by 25.3% compared conventional PV module 98.6% water-cooling system. results were literature methods, nanoparticles, similar studies used SiC nanofluid. comparison this study are useful engineers researchers interested systems. aims facilitate task designers photovoltaic plants obtain best means overcome effects high solar radiation intensity ambient temperatures systems purpose.
